Any good offroading books? |

Any recommendations of Offroading books?
Under pressure from SWMBO to come up with "things I want for Xmas". She politely declined the suggestion of an air-bag jack (too expensive), so I thought a book or two may be in order.
Can anyone recommend offroading books for the man who already does a bit off offroading but is still a novice (ask Slimer or 10forcash).
Either "techniques" or "routes" I suppose. I'm not interested in books on maintenance or mods to Series 2a's
All suggestions, Amazon links etc gratefully received.
Haynes publish a couple - e.g. "Off Road Four Wheel Drive Book: Choosing, Using and Maintaining Go-anywhere Vehicles by Jackson". Any good?
Best regards

I recommend First Overland: London-Singapore by Land Rover by Tim Slessor. ISBN - 1904955142. The story of the 1955 expedition from London to Singapore in two Land Rovers. It's a great read , really capturing the spirit and adventure of the trip.
Available from Amazon and other book sellers.
