never had any cracking sidewalls in my Cooper ST and STTs and did 160,000 miles on Coopers. that was several years ago though.

is that a problem with Coopers in last 5 years ?

Hi Paul,
may I ask the reason why you're going away from the Coopers?
My apologies should you've explained the issue in another thread ... Embarassed

Not been 100% convinced since fitting in Oct, compared to Duratracs they just felt skittish on rd. I've played around with pressures & they've felt better at +2.
With Duratrac I felt I could push/throw the car into a corner, not so with these
Off Rd I've found that Coopers turn to slicks quite quickly (gum up & don't clear as well as a the Duratracs did, I use the car around home (we have some land) & want something with a bit more bite

Dunc, I'm disappointed tbh, thought they'd be a good all rounder, I canvassed opinion & many (some on here said great tyre), will look forward to your feedback on them & go from there.

I thought it was the Ltz,s with the problem with cracking side wall. I have one on a 20 inch rim .. a few years old now and seems ok.
I have 17 inch Cooper ST on a set of 5 rims and they are well used and old.. no cracking on them.
