What a great car
Hi all, earlier in the year my wife and I decided camping would be good as a holiday for the us and our two boys, as a result a bigger car was required to replace our 260000 mile Saab 95 Griffin. After much looking for big booted a car we thought a d3 would fit the bill. We saw one locally and went to look.. a 2007 Stornaway grey hse with 153000 miles on the clock.
I must say I had absolutely no knowledge of this type of car car when I bought it.
But what a joy to drive!!!
My only real issue is I have absolutely no service record apart from oil services. Half of its mileage was done in its first three years.
I know it’s on the old oil pump so need to address that soon.
Any tips on spotting other major works?
We have had her for eight months now with no real issues, due an mot next week so we’ll see how that goes.
It’s pretty spotless inside and out, and no smokers kit in it,I don’t think it’s even been across a muddy field to be honest.
Been reading posts on this forum for a couple months great knowledge from you guys about how it works,
everyday is a school day.
Kind regards all. Lee

Moved from Saabs to LRs myself a decade ago after a number of 9-5s, seemed a natural enough move. The smile is a little different but no less!

The Saab was a great car, had it for four years, cost nothing. Always a big smile when driving the discovery. Just hope it doesn’t go wrong

I moved here after 16 years in my beautiful 960 Volvo 24v estate. That was hard. But no regrets so far.1955 SWB Series 1 86 inch

The design parameters of the 960 and the D3 are rather similar. I’ve has a bunch of V70s and I loved the square look. The later generation V70 ones are nice to drive and own but slightly too round. Good value for money, though.
