There's a nice embedded video review too - just be sure to get past the 1st 20 seconds or so.

Brilliant video. I had a tear in either eye as he set it free at the end. Never take life too seriously. Nobody gets out alive anyway.

Interesting review - a lot of the features spoken of by the reviewer are sadly going to be a thing of the past in the new model. Ah, the price of progress...
And yes, the dash display is starting to seem a bit 'old tech' but it is still miles ahead of my faithful old D3.
A true classic and I really believe the best Discoverys were the first and last of the D3/D4 models.LeighW
The old girl is on her third engine...
* first ran a bearing (design failure in original engine)
* second had a failure of the water outlet on top of the engine (pls check yours)

LeighW: I'd make do with a 2" mono screen if I could get to keep keep everything else!
Did anyone else notice: no AdBlue and it had rear aircon? Don't mind the AdBlue, but would have loved the rear aircon. Sigh.... 2011 - 2015: 3 x FL2

Can you drive a D4 around in low suspension setting? I assumed it would be the same as D3 and pick itself up if you go over 15. (6:40 through the video)Richard

I wonder if all the D3 and most of the D4 will have gone in 20 yrs time pretty much like the 200/300 models?

What a great find
Although a sad reminder of what is about to be taken away and replaced with a generic unrecognisable 4x4 Andy

The suspension on the D4 will rise, just the same. It helps me keep the speed right down in limited headroom multi story car parks
I can't see anywhere where it's obviously at low setting though. Would you care to double check the 6:40 figure?2011 - 2015: 3 x FL2
