Phone up and I’m told we can price match you to our internet price....... what happen to loyalty an trust give me the price that everyone else can get don’t bump my price up and hope I won’t check.
I’m now going to look at the whole lot and see what is on offer.

Unfortunately that is what a lot of companies do these days - shaft the loyal customer!
They assume we won't look at alternatives and just take the easy option of "do nothing and we will automatically renew your contract"

I noticed Auto aid on Money saving expert. Purchased for my daughter but no experience of using it. MSE say the feedback on then is very good. (link below).
£48 for the year cover husband and wife/partner. Insures person so you can be driving anything. Includes roadside, onward transport and at home. Don't think it includes Europe, but might be an option.
Good luckGary

Just assume at all times that there is no loyalty from any company and they are out to shaft you.
Should hold you in good stead at all times.

Same with my car insurance. When I called them and got it down by £200 I asked why the renewal price was so stupidly high. She just claims a computer churns out the renewal number and sends it out. Every firm seems to do this now. Which is v annoying. Pet insurance exactly the same, so told them to cancel the renewal and bought similar cover for £10 a month less. Loyalty doesn’t factor in any more. I guess at least 50% of people just accept what ever price they are given and pay it.James favourite hobby is writing in the third person.

I'm not scared, I'm outta here.
Wasn’t it recently announced that the FCA is investigating insurance companies that offer better deal to new customers and poor deals to existing customers.

certainly AA and RAC prices on the web are new customer prices.
For renewal they jack the price up every year.
I did negotiate a deal with AA by saying RAC price is ____ (usually 1p different to AA) i'm thinking of moving to them.
