Not really. He has the seats, he has the car. He has tools to do the job. He’s just looking for a how to. Did he say “what’s the easiest way to get 7 seats”?

Hi Andrews as Neil stated I already have an interior and a car so would be quite a pain to go through the process of putting car up for sale having to deal with a load of potential time wasters and tyre kickers before I sell and then I would be getting rid of a car that has recently had oil pump and all belts done and also transmission oil and filter so I know where the cars at. Plus I have done a 4.5 conversion on it so to try and get one with all that for the right money would just be Agro and time which I don’t have. So I’m a nutshell no your suggestion is not an option. But ofcourse I didn’t expect you to know my current situation. Thanks for the advice anyway............. so back to the actual question, anyone got advice, ideas or help on doing the 7 seat conversion. Thanks

I had been going to do the 5 seat conversion from two seats here in Ireland but the car tax laws changed here before I got it done. It all depends on when yours was being commercialised what preventative steps were taken. I freed out the two rear windows luckily all I had to do was plug in the motors some have the wires cut and the glass had been held in place by the mastic they use for windscreens. The seat bolts and safety belt bolts will decide everything. Here some vans have them welded over other’s headless bolts but some only have mastic put in.

didn't appreciate your situation on the physical side of things, however you still have the legal implications to deal with and insurance :thumbsup In the Beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

Another thing to look into is the curtain airbags for the second row, I don’t know if there are ones for the third row.

I’m currently in the process of doing this. I have some 2nd row leather, Ive fitted them and I’ve even found the wiring for the heated seats is in so only needthe switches. Mine had the headless bolts! Not gonna lie, bit of a to remove as my Irwins did not work. Used grips and struggled, after loosing most of my patience and knuckles I used a grinder and cut the heads square!
I’ve put the seats from a 7 seater so it leaves a gap behind them to the boot floor, not sure how easy it’ll be to get hold of a 5 seat floor.
Rear windows were unplugged and full of mastic! Simple fix. The door window cover was a pain, it was stuck with mastic to the cover close to the c post so I sourced new ones. I’ve left the quarter ones in the rear for now.
The one thing I’m missing is the plates/brackets that fit on the floor, the ones the seat clip down to. Can anyone help me with a name of what I need or a PN. Or even better if any has spare ones. Current: D3 commercial
Past: but not forgotten D3 HSE x2, 5 TD5 disco2's, 1 200tdi disco1, 2 300tdi disco1 one of which was a commercial, Off roader with a rather large spec, ARB's and big travel suspension to name a few.

If the D3 is same as D4, you will need a different loom section under the cubby box for the heated seats. Discovery commercial tdv6 auto 2013
