No. The red strap is to put the gear selector in Neutral, there is also a tab you have to turn through to the horizontal.

The EPB release is under the drip tray which you still need to remove (two phillips screws i think) and then you will see a loop of wire which then needs to be pulled upwards.

Yes, needs to be locked in N.

If the car is being towed and N is selected on the rotary gear change the car will try to reset the selected gear to P so this strap needs to be pulled and the gears locked in N.

More info in the Owners Manual under Vehicle Recovery Very Happy
