Most RRS owners seem rather keen to sell them and buy skodas or BMWs, so they aren't that good are they!

I have been looking into this as it was always recognised that (according to the spec sheets) the D3 could wade to 700mm whereas the RRS could only go to 500 or 550mm.

It transpires that there was a revision in the engine dept for the RRS on 06MY onwards which affected an oil seal. This was apparently the real problem wading an RRS beyond 500mm and not the air intake. No wonder there was confusion when the air intakes are at virtually the same height on both vehicles. So, after 06MY the RRS is the same wading depth as the D3.

TFC might be the man to extrapolate further on this one is such is needed. Whistle
