Harmon Kardon Logic7 ticking?
It may have been asked before, but does anyone else have a ticking sound on their stereo? At volumes greater than 20, with a quiet passage in a tune I can hear this rhythmic ticking, about 1Hz? The kids sometimes complain that they can hear a very high pitched noise, although at my great age, I cant.Richard

Get a clearly audible ticking noise on the Aux input if nothing's connected. So might be same thing...? No idea on cause BTW, so if there's a fix for this so much the better____

I have not tried on aux input, but I don't get it with the radio, just the CD player. I don't think its the CD transport, as the frequency is constant, and of course CD's change speed as they play from the middle out.
Could it be related to something else in the car?Richard

I've just done another search for threads about 'ticking' from the sound system, still can't find anything. No ideas from the electronics gurus?Richard

Are you playing CD/Rs ? Ticking can be a symptom of a disc that won't read properly, more likely on a CD/R and more likely towards the end of the disc
