The default HDC speed varies with the Terrain Response program when in Low Range. In Rock Crawl it's 3kph and regardless of whether you have CC or not, you can't select it to be any slower than that.

In sand mode it's 8kph - the other two are somewhere between these limits. So if you have no CC buttons, you could pre-select a TR program to vary the speed.
