HDC Fault

I have the usual intermittent "HDC fault - Special programs not available" message. I have already:

1. Had Brake Bulbs replaced at Dealer
2. Replaced the brake pedal switch

Fault disappears if the engine is switched on and off, and the dealer can't find any stored fault codes.

Anyone got any other ideas?

Thanks

The fault maybe the battery,If you have a bad cell or a low charge in the battery the vhe will sense this and switch off non essential options i.e hdc.

Thanks for that, I've seen the battery issue mentioned on the forum before. Is there an easy way to measure battery charge? I have pretty basic voltmeter that i use round the house to test for live circuits etc!
