Head unit mod

Hi,

I read on here a while ago, about a mod to remove part of the head unit to retain the functionality but replace it. I think it involved removing the Cd player part or something. I've searched but can't find the thread, anyone know what thread it was?

Cheers Paul

Not a mod but you keep part of the old head unit (PCB) tucked in the dash somewhere to keep your 4x4 info and factory sat nav if replacing the head unit on a MOST fibre optic equipped vehicle.
