Headlamp beam resetting for Continental driving

Have just reset the headlamp beams using the small lever located on the reflector under the large circular cover on the headlamps.
I have a label that I printed off and stuck on the back of the headlamp body.

For those that are interested, the lever which is spring loaded to a mid position needs be moved DOWN for Continental driving (On the Right) and UP for UK driving (On the Left). Just click it up or down and release, the spring will return the lever to mid position. Refit the cover....Job done Thumbs Up

TIP
I find it easier and quick to unclip the grille, release the clamps and pop the headlights out to remove & refit the back cover and see the lever. The reflector is "Floating" and can be moved aside to access the lever better.

Not sure if the above applies to Disco's with Halogen lamps. Mine is the HSE with Xenons (2008 Model)

Is this for a D3 ? because I was told there was no need to do this on the 4 as there was a pattern that was ok to use in the Europe.I have have the basic model MY15.

Have driven many, many, many tens of thousands of miles on the “wrong” side of the road/sur l’continent, in a D3 with halogens and xenons and a D4 with xenons, never adjusted, flipped leavers or bunging tape on them. Only time I was flashed was when using fixed xenons in Tunisia, but the 2 LHD cars in our group were also being flashed at and they also had xenons. Our conclusion was the peeps of Tunisia didn’t like xenons full stop. Thumbs Up

Don’t worry about it, the standard lights are fine. If you’re going to get pulled over it’s cause you’re breaking the speed limit and the Gendarmes want to make you pay. Thumbs Up
