Haha first attempt on a spare halogen headlight slightly missed timed the oven after getting bored with the hairdryer

It's for the adaptive bulbs but there is non fitted in this unit so gonna do the other spare I have then use them until I take my time with the xenons! Might sell the halogen set cheap though when I've done

I'm looking to detango my lights. They are adaptive xenons, can they be done in an oven (Adaptive motors etc) or is it best to use a heatgun? I used the oven a few years ago on standard non xenons with no issues but I'm not sure about putting adaptive into the oven. I've something loose in one of the headlights so hopefully I can do two things all at once. The entire adaptive mechanism in one is loose and can move so I can't get the main beam h7 and the xenons to point the same direction. Thanks E

Just done my lights, wasn't a bad job atall.
I done it the oven way but The only thing I would say is I had to put it in for a lot longer than 3 minutes and kept having to put it back in the oven at intervals to loosen the hard tar like glue.
Persevere and don't give up, took around 1.5 hours max all in all on the first go so not that bad for the results.

Finally got up the courage to do mine today. Not nearly as bad as I was expecting.
Took about 3 hours. Had to do the first one twice. Don't ask.

Did it yesterday, after only reading the first post, perhaps I should've read on... wouldn't call it easy. It's hard work.
Used the oven technique, mine needed multiple goes in the oven before they gave in, did some prying with a screwdriver as well. Nothing broke too badly.
I used some washers with the screws to compensate for the missing tangoed plastic. Also, don't clean the silver reflectors with anything but your breath, if you use detergent it'll come right off after the first wipe.
Happy with the result.

afternoon all,
So - I've watched all the videos and read through countless pages of really useful info from people who have done this before me and I am up for doing this to my headlights.
There's so much info out there that I just need a bit of guidance before I dive in please:
Am I correct in thinking that the indicator bulbs actually have a 'wedge' type fitment to them and are not standard two pin bulbs?
could anyone link to the correct silvered front indicator bulbs please so I don't end up buying the wrong ones!
re: the orange reflector - I get that it comes out, but I see it as one piece. is it infact two pieces?
Am i correct in reading that there is a clear version that can go back in its place?
Anyone have a link or part number to that as well please as I can't seem to find that.

Orange reflective part comes out in one you don't replace it with anything and the amber chrome bulbs are on sale at advanced factors 9157 I think but they are listed on there siteD4 rear lights
