Hi all, my side light bulb has blow and having the A-bar fitted is making the removal of the headlight difficult. Does anybody have a way of getting the latches lifted with-out taking the bar off.
I dont have kiddy sized hands so i cant squeeze my hand in to get the latch, any suggestions If in doubt............flat out.

Long Nosed Pliers but don't let it lean on the light fitting in case you crack it
or
Piece of strong cord or wire looped under the tab and then pull upwards
Spray in a bit of WD40 or a silicone spray on the sliders before you refit them to make it easier for the next time.

I keep a walking boot lace in the drivers door pocket for exactly this reason, saves knackered fingers and always works I believe that every human has a finite number of heart-beats. I don't intend to waste any of mine running around doing exercises.

ayrshire, I'm assuming when you are talking about the latch and A bar then you mean the ones to get the grill off?
Easiest way is to unclip the two plastic pop-rivety things on each plastic a-bar bracket by pushing the centres down and then reach in from in front of the A-bar to get to the small plastic latches adjacent to the headlights, then by unclipping it at the top it should then squeeze out giving access for you to be able to get the headlight out. and theeeeennn......???

The ends, not the hook part, of a metal coat hanger works great for pulling up the headlight tabs. 16 D4 Landmark
