headlight scratch removal

hi, come back from a shopping trip and have found a few scratches on the headlight. i've read before that someone had sat and polished them out, could anyone tell me what to use to get rid of them? your help would be greatly accepted as this is highly annoying.

DO NOT USE A BRILLO PAD TO REMOVE MARKS !

Sorry someone did this and made a bit of a mess ;-(

I would use a perspex polish or even Brasso. Used to use Brasso on plastic watch faces - in the old digital watch days - but I'm sure there is a proven and branded product out there for the job.

Maybe LR even sell one at a truly excellent price.

An aviation one is here... http://www.airplanflightequipment.co.uk/sh...cts_id=590 for a tenner !

Of course I am no expert so do not take this as any sort of de-facto advice Smile

Scratching

Yup that was me

ok

1st Brasso/T Cut - quite aggressive take care - scratch removal

second - ipod polish I use ICleaner

1st apply metal cleaner - less agressive than Brasso/T cut - first stage polish

2nd acrylic cleaner - apply with a dremmel unless you want to get old doing it Laughing - finishing polish

very cheap from the states arrives within a week review here

take care only apply to where you need to, don't get carried away and take your time.

Disclaimer

I obviously take no responsibility, all actions at your own risk.

Have fun, in a perverse kind of way ( you will know what I mean when your wife walks into the lounge and your sat there polishing your headlights Embarassed )

my results were excellent good luck
