Heated front seats - well I never
Just dropped Mrs Brum off to collect her car as we drunk too much last night With it being -2 deegres outside, she warmed her bottom with the heated seat.
After I dropped her off I started the journey back home bong, bong, bong sounded and seat belt warning displayed I lent over, tapped the seat swab and it stopped so I thought ahhh sticking pressure pad. Pulled away again and bong, bong, bong with the seatbelt warning again. Oh dear me thinks, I'll have to strip the seat and get that sorted when the weathers warmer but I'll just clip the seatbelt in to fool the motor into thinking someone's sitting in the seat and tied in safely
Well, when I leant over to get the seatbelt I noticed SWMBO had left her heated seat switched on. Mmmmm, I wonder, switched it off and hey presto warning went away. Now ain't it good when your car is cleverer than your wife and can actually tell you there's something wrong without you having to guess for hours 8)

The easiest thing is to remove the annoying bongs 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021
To Bong or not to Bong - that is the question
"I know that you believe that you understood what you think I said, but I am not sure you realize that what you read is not what I meant"
I eventually got this sorted at the dealer whilst it was in for other work.As you slide down the banister of life
may no splinters point your way
