| Heated Steering Wheel - What bits do I actually need? |

I have a MY2010 D4 and was persuaded by the group buy that a heated steering wheel might be nice to have.
But, then I found out that I also needed to add the switch pack with the relevant switch in.
And Martin's connector to get power.
And I might need a heated clock spring.
Now it seems that I also need a control module, after reading this thread: http://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/topic121192....ated+wheel
Do I need that module as well as Martin's connector or do they do the same job?
Beginning to think that a pair of gloves might have been easier.

You could always do what I'm doing......just call Geoff! He's Kent based and sorting the lot out for me! All I've got to do is put the kettle on apparently....woohoo!

You need to remove the steering wheel airbag (3 min job) and look what you have already got installed, the module is situated under the the right side steering switches and comes with the heated wheel, you will need the heated switch pack which is also on the right side.
The clock spring has an extra two pin connector vertical orientation on the outside left of the wheel making a total of three connectors, this may or may not be wired up and is where Martins power feed plug fits, this can be confirmed by looking on the inside of the wheel with the airbag removed, there will be a vacant two pin socket.
Martins power cable feeds the clock spring externally which feeds the module internally. It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

Thanks M3DPO, I'll have a look and see if that makes sense.
I will be giving Geoff a call at some stage to sort out all the bits that I cannot do myself, but I like to fiddle, and initially this seemed quite straightforward.
