heated steering wheel,sorry again

got a wheel today to fit to my 2011 disco 4,i bought a clock spring with the feed for the wheel and a 2011 rr sport right hand switch pack,so i got it fitted and it does not light up orange, so we took the wheel off, there is 12 volt coming out of the clock spring, anyhow we tried the powerful uk way of checking the wheel and there is no resistance on the inner 2 wires which i believe are the thermistor and only 2.1ohm on the outer, please can someone who as one knocking about just check theirs please

It would be help for the board if you tell how it was fixed.

2010 switchpack,2010 heater module and a 2016 heated wheel,no coding works perfect
any other combination and it wont work, except any wheel will work, I now have 3 non heated wheels going for sale and a switch pack from a 2011 which should work but i cannot try also 4 switchpacks from 2015 ish and a 2015 heater module, any help i can give just ask, also check the above video as this new wheel showed resistance on both the heat and thermistor

Hi,

Im going o fit mine tomorrow.... I have a heated wheel and the switch pack with the heated wheel switch on the side..... it also came with an entire loom and various plugs which im sure I don't need as mine will have a loom obviously...

my question is.... what is the heater module and where does it live? The guy who sold mine was adamant he sells many of these kits and I have everything needed to make it work but I don't have a heater module?

Thanks for any help!

Smile

All sorted.

Module (small match box sized box) came on the loom supplied. I had to alter the steering wheel backing plate to allow it to sit in place.

Had to swap the switch pack frontage as mine is grey and the supplied was black and they had differing details.

Love the fact the necessary plug was taped into the loom ready to go.....

Nice warm wheel...which is nice. It’s not as hot as the wife’s X5 but a well worthwhile mod for my aging hands.

Many mods to come!
