Heated wheel confirmation questions
Morning gentlemen!
I am going to have another go at fitting a heated wheel to my 2011 D4 GS.
I have read the threads, but I want some things confirming.
1. As its an early D4, I believe I need to get a wheel with NO WHITE HORN SYMBOL. Is that correct?
2. If I do buy a wheel with the white horn symbol, is it just a case of swapping for "non horn symbol" switch packs, or is there other differences in wheel/wiring?
Think thats it-thanks for the help.

Try the new steering wheel on your car, if the electronics dosen't work, you can use your switch packs electric board and harness on the new steering wheel plastics cases.
I done the same when I bought a 2014 steering wheel for my previous MY2011Discovery 5 tdv6 HSE Corris Gray Outback Engineering Limited Edition
Even for the heated switch, I’ve looked at a few boards and they don’t all have the full circuitary, what did you plug the heated switch into ?Altox GSM FBH controller thread

1. Probably but what do you have on your existing non heated setup?
2. Yes if it has a new style ECU the wiring harness is also different but that's not really a problem - The ECU will need enabling in the CCF and your car may not be compatible

When I done mine just added the heated wheel and new squib (clockspring)and all worked didn’t need to enable anything in the ccf settings for it to work although I did anyway but still worked without it
I did buy one from a early d4 as did hear that the later d4s had a different ecu for the heated wheel and wasn’t compatibleDisco 3 gone but not forGotten
