Does anyone know if it is possible to repair a 2 cm chip in the heated windscreen? I have one right in front of my eyeline, and it is annoying the hell out of me.
The outer laminate is chipped, and has 4 cracks extending outwards for a radius of 2cm. Will a repair damage the heating function?

Bloody frustrating I can apreciate, mine is exactly center of the windscreen just below the rear view mirror, so I see mine everytime I look behind.....
I can see that it has damaged my heated screen, so I have decided to get it replaced on the insurance, as far as im aware you only pay the first £50 of the cost under a fully comprehensive policy.

A very good question and until winter arrives hard to answer that. Maybe the dealer can check the continuity of the screen circuit for you.

Can't image that Autoglass or other Windscreen repair/replacement companies would be able to help with a heated screen?

I've had heated screens replaced in the past by Autoglass, there's no reason why they can't as it's just a matter of plugging in the heating element when they replace it. The End

Had my screen repaired (one bills eye & 3 small chips)2 weeks ago, no problems so far will have to wait till it gets colder to see if it has affected the heated screen! Range Rover Sport Estate 2.0 P400e Hse Dynamic Black
