Hi,
I have been browsing around and found nothing to confirm what I need to know:
The original LR Driving Lights are WARN I think.
Are they the equivalent to the SDB-210HB (270 meters range), The SDB-160HB (235meter), the SDB-120HBE (145m with only 55w lamps), or none of the above...
I must be prepared to, if necessary, do night driving in desert tracks, the 270m would be fine, 145m on the other hand seems short.
Could anyone please help?

The SDB-160HBE are what LR use on the roofs of G4 vehicles, they're not very bright
The LR driving lights are a lot brighter, not sure what the range is but better than the Warns.
I'd recommend getting some Lightforce 170's (or 240's if you want to go really big), but I'm biased. Best range of any light I've seen so far The End

I don't think you're biased.
I agree LF is the best light around.
The problem here is my D3 is new so the Dealer is giving me a good price for the LR ones, and mounts them with no extra cost.
I'm afraid if putting the LFs would void my garantee.
I was planing on trying to talk them in to mounting the LFs, ( ) but have to know if the originals are good so I can decide on the spot. After the car leaves the dealer I will have no more leaverage to negociate price and mounting.

Noooo ....can't happen. Don't save a few Euros....get the Lightforce units...I am this weekend hopefully 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

The LR ones are good from what I've seen of them. If your dealer is doing you a good deal on them why not get them, if you're not happy with the amount of light they put out you could always sell them on and fit some LFs The End
