This usually caused by a dodgy clock spring behind the steering wheel (it happened to me although it was intermittent)...

The fault usually also causes SRS/Airbag faults, but in my case it didn't....just intermittent cruise control and radio button operation.

New clock spring fixed it completely. Thumbs Up

or a new steering switch can clear it - did it for me

mine always righted itself after a complete switch off - is yours the same?

Thumbs Up Yes Steve, reboot cured it! Recently changed steering wheel so point noted from you and PaulP ref clock spring! Thanks.

Learner driver just whacked my tow bar when she turned in a car park. No damage to mine but I had to wreck her front bumper to get free! I was parked so her fault!

Make sure your tow bar locking mechanism isn't damaged at all Smile

Mine has this problem too, intermitent cruise control, bit of a gamble as to whether it will turn on or off.

Usually turning the ignition off resets things.

Should I be looking towards the clock spring or buttons?

How much does the clock spring cost?

Cheers
