HELP: Smelly Stuff! [Revisited - a new twist!]

I have a smell in my garage...........I think it could be from the rear of my beer fridge (I've rescued the contents!!). I have ruled out mice/rats etc.

Do fridges smell when they are dieing?

HELP!!

neil,

it could be the drain which takes melt water and other fluids from inside the fridge through a pipe to an open plastic tank which generally sits on top of the compressor - compressor heats up and evaporates the water. simples !

only probelm wiht that is if there has been something in the fridge which smells or something resting against the back of the fridge , omg caps lock.......can't be arsed changing it but not shouting.......... which goes slimy and then blocks the outlet pipe.......result is it doesn't clear.....

worth a try to make sure the pipe is clear and flush it with some detergent or somehting.....

good luck...... Thumbs Up

Got to agree with WnW...probably a blockage toward the drain/evaporate line. Is there any route for liquids to get onto the material of the floor/seat? as bacteria breeding in the fabric may also cause the problem.

So, moved the fridge out of position and tumble dryer, no smell coming from those appliances Thumbs Up . (might have been moving the fridge got rid of a blockage in the drain point) Removed a free standing cupboard and placed all in the middle of the garage - smell gone within 10 mins...........and not come back so far after 5 days - result!. Thumbs Up

Now and new smell has occured in the bedroom above the double garage! Shocked Shocked . The smell this time is completely different, more of a strong mastik/glue/cheesey/smelly feet aromer!. Opened the windows and the smell has now gone. Closed them up and its gone - wonder if it will come back!.

The room was not enclosed overnight and this is really puzzling me now!. The room is South Facing and has a laminate floor.

If no reasonable explanation can be sort I am gonna call Evie and get the Most Haunted Crew in!!!

That's not the issue. This room is unused as a bedroom - its just got a spare bed and a warddrobe/unit in it....

Have you checked the loft space above the bedroom for any trace of a dead bird, they can get in quite small spaces and stink to high hell when they decompose Thumbs Up
