Here's to the next 3 years!

Yesterday my D3 reached it's third birthday... So with MOT and LR extended warranty in hand I look forward to the next 3 years.

I decided to get the Land Rover warranty in the end, having worked for various garages and had some experience of warranty companies trying to wriggle out of paying up. I didn't pay the extra for LR Assistance though (I hope I wont regret that!) I'm going to get RAC or AA breakdown cover.

Hopefully... I wont need either Very Happy

More than the road tax and insurance combined, but it's an expensive security blanket...

How long is the Extended cover for? If for 3 years I might follow suit in September when ours turns 3

Shocked - Gulp! I think I'll put that money away to earn interest and run the risk for that extra year. Thanks for the info though AVE Thumbs Up

I joined the 3 year old club today; serviced yesterday at Yeovil LR (top job, thanks chaps), but thought I'd skip the extended warranty on the basis that the car has done only 20K miles and that the only problems to date have been a stuck brake caliper and a broken catch on the pull-out load cover. The only other ownership niggle has been tyre wear, so not something to justify the extended warranty; think the LR Wintercare Warranty is a better bet.

Not heard of LR Wintercare.

Mines done just over 40k and had a couple of fairly big warranty claims in the past (along with some minor niggles.) As the warranty is transferable we thought it may help when we sell.

That's 'cos it's a local car for local journeys... Wink

Must put some mileage on it and join you for a (wheel) spin around B'wood.

It's the Land Rover Approved Extended Warranty for £895 or £1055 inc LR Assistance they also have the Land Rover Select Extended Warranty for £725 or £885 inc LR Assistance. All the details came in the post from LR Customer Services.

Still not sure whether I've done the right thing Confused
