I also happened to get hold of ABL lights and fitted them to a car that was built with halogens. The thread captures exactly what you are about to do and pinpoints the CCF flags to set in order to activate them.
When I did this I also upped the speed threshold a little so the cornering lights come on at a higher speed than the default setting. That was via another additional CCF flag that I don't remember what it was called but when you search the CCF file flags you will realise which one it is.
So the xenons work, no bending happens of course, and the cornering lights come on when expected.
Many thanks!!

Thanks again, I’ll fit them at the weekend and let you all know how I get on, especially regarding the Corning lights...!!
Before you get to excited, only one of your new lights is adaptive, which means only that one will have the cornering lamp fitted! Look at the other one and see if there is a bulb present in the cornering lamp, if not tell the supplier he has not sent you a pair.
Being adaptive will not make any difference to you as they always default to the centre. It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

me mate you just gave me a heart attack!! I was just looking at them thinking they look identical and the part numbers are identical other than one digit which must be right and left....!!
Where about is the cornering light?
Where the orange indicator is in my old halogen units there are, if I look upwards, two holes with possibly two LED bulbs in them, although I can’t be 100% certain as it’s hard to see.

May be the LEDs are actually in the DRL strips...

If the cornering lamps are there you should be able to see the bulb very clearly in the place where the indicator is on the non xenon. Take the rubber bung off the back behind that area and it should be really obvious if the cornering lamp is there because that is how you would get in to change the bulb if it were.

There definitely is not a bulb in mine and very little if enough space to put one, from the rear I can see straight through the lamp, I will investigate further when time allows. It would be interesting to see a photo of adaptives with cornering lights that are known to work.
Adaptives with bending lights only work on dip beam
Another point regarding parking lights, the DRL go dim when parking lights are switched on.It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

All fitted and all appears to be working well!
Thanks again for everyone’s help.
As far as I can tell they didn’t have any accessible bulbs other than the main xenons and the indicators.
Where the indicator bulb is in my old halogens there is clearly an access cap behind it. In the xenons there is the template stamped in the plastic for the access cap but no actual cap or bulb in the unit.
The funky led strips only come on with the main xenons, is this correct?
Is there a ‘normal’ DLR? (Not the Scandinavian or Canadian settings) I’ve activated this using the IID but can't see anything actually switching on if the engine is running with no headlights switched on. In previous cars the DLRs were on in the daytime but turned off if I put the headlights on - should this be the case with my D4?
Thanks again

The DRLs only light up once the car has been moved out of park into D or R. They then stay on regardless of gear until the ignition is cycled once again. So you need to move it out of P into D and back into P then get out of the car with the engine running to have a look and the DRLs should be on.

No worries. They will be bright if headlights off, then dim if you are indicating, dim if headlights or side lights turned on.

The LED strips are the DRLs, just lit up much much brighter than when they are acting as sidelights.
