| High Pressure Fuel Pump Replacement |

Last week had two recalls done, the brake vacuum valve and the high pressure fuel pump replacement. Car runs very well but doesn't seem to have such sparkling performance as it had before. In fact, it feels quite subdued, although as I have said before, it runs and sounds as it did. Before I go back to Lookers Chelmsford to be told that their technician has tried it and can't find anything wrong, does anybody know if replacing the high pressure pump involves any timing or other performance-critical work? Also under the bonnet smells of diesel and I've found a couple of oils spots on the garage floor, possibly from spilt oil when the pump was changed. How does one see this pump, drive belt etc as even using a mirror on a stick, behind the cylinder head, I've yet to see anything belt-driven. As the pump is so inaccessible, how do they change it (as I can't even see it)?

Is there a recall for the High Pressure Pump or is it on the newer models?

i might be wrong but it looks as if since the recall i am getting less MPG ????

My L200 lost MPG when the pump & injectors were changed 
After a few tanks of fuel and running it the MPG crept back upto normal and its been fine since
