hill starts when towing

HI

Has any one had problems pulling away on hills when towing a caravan/ trailler [1450kg]. Just stopped out side house and when i tried to pull away again the engine just stalled in 1st. Tried again with more revs same thing happened. Only way to get away was low box 2nd gear which is no good when on the move you have to select neutral to change back to high box.

Changing from low to high on the move is easy enough; get some speed up in Low, select Neutral, flick the switch, wait a sec until the light goes out and select an appropriate gear in High range

Your lack of power issue may be resolved or at least improved by getting your dealer to apply the latest software updates The End

I've never had this issue with my caravan, although mine is an auto. I think it is the lastest version that resolves the low rev stalling, could this be part of the same issue? DS3 TDV6 HSE - Silver with Alpaca (old one) Gone
