Hitch lock advice

Hi all,

Looking for some advice on the above....
Will be taking our new trailer tent with the Disco to France this year. This is my 26th year in France but the first time we have taken the trailer tent, usually camp........

I'm getting confused about hitch locks. I am looking for something I can put on the trailer when we stop at services etc. i take it the trailer stays hitched and the lock covers this??.......
Anyone recommend a good one??

I do know they are to be taken of when driving though.....

Thanks
Paul

Re: Hitch lock advice

Any hitch specific lock will do, eg ALKO, Milenco, BPW etc... or a simple slide in barrel lock if it suits...there are a lot of options....best bet to try the usual fleabay or local trailer/caravan shop
D4 HSE....Probably, but not quite decided yet.

I normally use a generic hitch lock as described above plus a big lock and chain secured through the recovery/lash down eye. I tow an Ifor Williams P6 which has a triangular loop near the hitch itself. When the chain is looped through here and to the car, it is definitely a deterrent IMHO Thumbs Up
