this opinion comes from my very personal experience with this particular tire, that turned out to be a big mistake from day one.

only have experiance of the zero's. they offered v good grip but wore out pretty rapidly, am now running AT2's which seem to be good in all conditions, some have mentioned grip in the damp but no matter how hard i try they seem to hold well,
did redesign a field over the weekend due to water under wet grass.... got proper stuck, fortunately friend of the family's field and wasnt messing about..
cant offer opinion on the others im afraid... one wife.......livid

I was running goodyears never had any problems with them, but am now running AT2's and Cannot fault them as ad15 says grip very well in wet. Road noise is only very slightly louder than goodyears

Giving my standard tuppence worth...
When I bought my car I had Goodyear on the rear and Nexen (wrong load rating!) on the front. I soon replaced all with Conti Cross-Contacts.
The Cross-contacts were slightly louder (but not so that it annoyed me at all), but felt more assured on the road. Especially in wet weather. (Whether they are supposed to or not is another matter.)
Have had no significant wear on them either, after 11k miles.
The nature of the discussion of what tyre to put on 18"s does border on religious  , and I only have my limited experience. So make of that what you will. 55-Reg Java Black SE, Unlocked SatNav (via Wiggs and Bodsy), Nudge Bar/Driving Lamps/RAI, Front & Rear Lamp Guards, RLD Sump Plate, RLD spare wheel protector

As Andy states in 18" size AT's are good allrounders but they have softer sidewalls not an issue if you know
Pirelli ATR's in 18's are good but I'd stick with HP's / Scorpions if you dont go off piste to often

Scorpion wear rates are putting me off as mine don't seem to have lasted very long.
Don't go off roading so sounds like Goodyear HP's the best for me then ?

I have a had 3 D3s all with badly warn uneven good years despite having 6-7mm min all had warn and the rubber looked like it was perishing on the edges. i wouldnt go near them again - until i bought a new D3 and to my dissapointment it has the goodyears.
i find the road noise high compared to other tyres. I fitted some khumos to my last D3 and it was like driving a new car.
Best price tryes i have seen are www.camskills.co.uk dont expect discount i tried to even get free postage on my 4 pair of 4x4 tyres and they refused!! but hard to beat on price
I bought some of the wintrac tyres for winter but didnt get them on the car yet
On my other car RR sport (the wifes in fact) we have hancooks and they feel great and much quieter than the goodyears
for your size i would recommend the khumo venture - i did 10k on these and no sign of wear and the quietest tyres i have ever driven on they are Korean not Chinese
