My Scorpions also need to be replaced and i was surfing here hoping to get some good tips Rolling Eyes

My LR dealer recommends the new michelin tyres.
The scorpions i don't want anymore... they wear too fast and overall grip is not so good in my opinion.

The adac tests also not provide very good results.

Was already confused and now even more! Evil or Very Mad

i would buy these VREDESTEIN TYRES / 4X4 / VREDESTEIN ULTRAC SUV SESSANTA - 255/55R19 111W XL TL or
HANKOOK TYRES / 4X4 / HANKOOK RH06 HANKOOK RH 06 - 255/55R19 111V XL TL

I have the Hankooks on my RR sport and they are very good, quiet and grip so much better than the Goodyears and the michelins in the wet. Hankooks are already one of the largest manufacturers in the world and have won OEM contracts with many car manufacturers

in my opinion the Goodyears, Dunlops and Michelins are all about brand and expensive marketing. i dont think they have any technical advantage these days

Here are some other choices. I can speak for the Kuhmo also which i have in 20'for the sport also and had on my previous D3. After driving with the Goodyears for while when i got my first D3 it was like getting a new car when i fitted the Khumos - but they were 18'venture i recall and not the KL17 as they dont do the venture in 19"

i just need to sell my Goodyears 255/55/19 if anyone wants them. its a new D3 2009.5 so has the D4 wheels. Make me an offer anyone?

Just went out and bought the Michelin latitudes....
great set of tyres, and big improvement over the Scorpions.

Very quite also on the road.
