Please note, I have a Disco 4 and I was in France for the month of August, when on our way to the hospital (her father was taken ill) we suffered a fault with the ECU unit, we rang the help line car still loads of warranty left a very nice lady asked the fault then called us back with an answer from a Land Rover fitter all within 10mins, we were told we could drive the car and someone would be at our house am the following day.
Next morning at 09.00am two fitters arrived in an AA yes English guys had a cup of tea fixed the fault in 20mins.
This very kind lady called later that day to see if all was ok, and she did ask how my wife's father was how very kind.
SO A VERY BIG THANKS TO LAND ROVER I WILL BE HAVING A NEW CAR NEXT SPRING AND IT WILL BE A LAND ROVER.

That was good service and it is nice to hear a good outcome not just all the bad ones

Did you say u was in france and english AA came out to u
Does the AA have beakdown guys in france for english cars Remote time climate

Yes two AA men in AA van and all the gear got a photo of them on my land.

We are 20 mins west of Bergerac, I was told by the two AA guys that they and a few others stay in France for 8 weeks and sort out members cars and also Land Rover warranty work the guys were staying in Rouen.
I think this saves Land Rover wasted money shipping cars to dealers to be sorted when they can be fixed road side or in our case at our home.

We broken down in france in 2010 near bordeaux and called out the beakdown number who told me i have to call from the little orange phone box at the side of the road because the AA could not send out a breakdown lorry to a paege because its down the the company who owns the road.
Called from orange phone who sent out local workshop which was a peugeot.
Lifted car up and caravan and took us the very small workshop miles from any wear
The workshop said u pay for tow truck 250 euro
I got on the phone and the AA covered that
Sat for 7 hours waiting and another tow truck car turned up with french car on the back
Took car car and caravan
Was told be AA that we have booked hotel for u and family in st malo
And your booked on the boat 10am next day
Well we was dover calais booked
So set of in the car with no sat nav or map (how we got there i don,t know) but we did at 11pm
Got to our rooms got up in the morning and 5 mins up road to the port waited for car to turn up
The car turned up very late and only just got the boat
Got to portsmouths 6pm on the sunday and waited again 5 hours for the AA to turn up again
Got hire car when AA turned up got home 3am on the monday 
Car went to dealer monday 1pm 2 hours later phone call from dealer all done needs software up date
If only the AA would of been there for me that day. 
Hats off to landrover did not have to pay for any thing
The boat,food on the boat,hotel tow truck hire car all coved by AA
I racked up £55 in phone calls on mobile and got that back Remote time climate

When my turbo packed up last month, a Replacement D4 was on my drive within 2 hours!
