Why should I choose 20" Stormers over 19" wheels
I've spent quite some time reading various posts about swapping wheels on the forum, but still can't find the answer I'm seeking.
I've made the decision that I will replace the 18" SE wheels on my latest D3 with something bigger, with the aim to improve the road comfort of the vehicle. I'd also like to mitigate my daughter's travel sickness, which on my previous D3 was achieved by swapping from 18" Goodyear to 18" Pirelli.
The first question I've got, is what benefit (other than Bling factor increase) might I achieve by having 20" Stormers rather than some 19" wheels.
The second question I've got, is that if I choose to trade up to 19" RRS wheels will I have issues with their weight rating (I've seen lots of comments about weight rating requirements of the various 20" stormers)
Thanks in advance,
LJ Coffeecup

I have 22" Overfinch wheels and to be honest it makes the D3 horrid to drive
They look good in my opinion but if you've cured her travel sickness leave it that way
Going bigger the profile of the tyre gets smaller and you feel the bumps more,The 22's on my friends RR Sport just keep cracking all the time aswell on the inner edge

255/55 is the correct size for a D3 on 19" rims, FFRR ones are the same, RRS has 255/50The End

I fitted a set of 20" FFRR 7 spokes and the calipers fouled the front calipers
They would need some spacer's

having them refurbished as soon as funds are back to nominal levels
but they do look 8)
so the collection now runs at
17" - offroading cooper stt's
18" - everyday
19" - mitchellin ynchrone- wet weather/winter
20" - generals blingNine-tenths of wisdom is being wise in time.

Hi Coffecup, I run 18 inch wheels with road tyres on but I've got some 19 inch FFRR 7 spoke wheels (TDV8 wheels) with MTR's on for playing out with. They are 255/55 19. Matt, the 7 spokers go straight on my landy on don't catch the anything, but they are 19 inch wheels not 20 inch wheels. but you may have different calipers on. What ever tyres you fit the loading has to be 111 or more, if that is wrong someone will be along to correct me.
