Thanks for all your comments, I have taken them on board and will look at some of the issues you have mentioned.

So where did you get your inspiration?

I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

Good point Snowy....

And Andrew - would you tell the guy that purchases your D3 that you've carried out this modification? Imagine the shock if he goes to the dealer with his 'it came from the factory like this' intercooler to pick up the car and find out that the dealer has 'reset' everything and he's lost this modification.

Would you tell him beforehand? Would you offer to re-fit it free of charge if the dealer removes it?? I don't doubt your honesty, but it would be good to know. Thumbs Up

BTW - I was thinking of relocating the EGR valves to the top glovebox. The bottom glovebox would then be waterproofed (maybe you could line it for us) and filled with a 3:1 solution of distilled spring water and Fairy Ultra washing up liquid. This means that you could remove the EGRs and give them a quick wash before popping them back into place - all of this without ever having to leave the D3.

My question is this - do you think that regular Fairy Ultra would do, or should I really be looking at buying the blue anti-bacterial one? The EGR move is easy-peasy, but I'm stumped on the correct type of household detergent to use whilst trying to keep costs down.

Any help would be appreciated. Thumbs Up
