Well with all the snow this weekend it seems now is not the time to negotiate with LR Dealers as they are standing firm. I was all ready to buy but couldn't get them to budge on their first and only offer and with the car I wanted due it's first MOT in just under 6 weeks the dealer wouldn't put one on it.
So, back to the drawing board and will probably wait until 13 plate is out when hopefully there will be no snow and a few more part exchanges in the network

They will never sell it without a new mot! Tell them they are taking the P155. How can they expect you to have confidence in their vehicle if they won't even put an mot on it? If you still want it, ask them to mot it at your cost. Then the most you can lose is £50 for the test! Rich

Hmm, hadn't considered that! Hopefully they won't go up by that much so the trend will be downwards! You would like to think, if you were to extend the logic, that my part ex will also have gone up then!

That's what I thought! Because it's LR approved it comes with an MOT pass warranty so any work needed would be covered but there was a principle, in that I'd be shelling out again and as they couldn't get it ready til next week, 5 weeks after delivery not only would I be shelling out but I'd have to mess about booking it in for the MOT.......

I thought approved cars had to have a MOT if it was due within a certain time, just not sure what it is.
But 5 weeks from delivery it should be done.

Countrywide, that's what I thought so I rang Land Rover customer services who were even less interested that the dealer and said "it's a matter for you to negotiate direct with the dealer" followed by "we can't control what the dealers do, they are independent businesses"
Steve, it's looking more attractive every day - if it was Stornoway I'd be there!

Atb that price you could get it resprayed !
My brother is taking it to the dealer tomorrow to see what sort of PX he could get against my new D4.
But in the mean time - have you seen a Baltic Blue in the flesh? 8)
Why not meet up and have a look. My current D4 is identical to his - At least you'll be able to see the colour in natural light

Have to say that having seen a Baltic blue D4 on the road, it is a lovely colour - IMHO much nicer than Buckingham Blue and Adriatic Blue.
