Am I just Lucky
So I bought my MY08 D3 in February this year, and it has run flawlessly ever since - no issues, not a sausage of any kind - perfect motoring.
And this is after running a My06 model for three years with few issues either - never had an EPB screamer, never had a flat battery, never had a suspension failure - and it had been dunked and muddied, and bramble-rashed and generally abused and never washed in all that time.

I have never had any major issues with any of my D3's TBH, EPB screamer being the exception but only after pretty intense off road use.2020 BMW X1 18d XDrive X-Line Auto
Steve, in 2 years of ownership I have had a few things like the EPB screaming, EGR valves replaced. None of these prevented me from driving normally and I still think it is a very reliable car The surest sign that intelligent life exists elsewhere in the universe is that none of it has tried to contact us yet.

Some peeps have all the luck!!! The only people that are lucky with my cars are the service and parts departments!!!!
Had a wonderful D3 for 3 years until someone here bought it and blew it up.........
Now got an even more wonderful FFRR which came at such a knock-down price that I could probably sell it for a profit today
Six Discos in a row and one FFRR, no problems - perhaps I'm just lucky too........ The older I get, the more I realise that people confuse wrinkles for wisdom

Bluie just did 1200 trip to Cardiff & back, no probs whatsoever! Good job as my car was supposed to do that trip.
