IIRC on (my) D4 at least it was too pessimistic and thought I used around 1L extra per 100 km than I really did. It was possible to change it in CCF with (at least) IID.

On the V8, with the car sipping a nice 1.5 dL/1 km of dinosaur juice, I haven’t bothered tuning it at all. Thumbs Up

Surely mpg is irrelevant.

Just ask those log burner boys who are happy about getting more mpg how their body off turbo replacement and crank cases are?

No to mention snapped cranks Shocked

yup, that's the main reason why I have a "reliable" V8 engine.
*D3 V8 SE Blue 2004 on LPG with Rock sliders, roof rack/Ladder, snorkel, 275/65x18 STT Muds, engine/G/box ally protection.

*D2 TD5 Epson Green 2002 Off roader (weekend toy)
*D3 V8 HSE silver 2004 on LPG (Wife's) SOLD
*Maserati Gran Turismo, the Gentlemans cruiser with a V8 soundtrack.

As my late father told consistent mpg is a good measuring of engine health.

Yes two rivnuts in the wing, one in the a pillar, for the LR RAI, 3 In the wing and four rivets in the pillar for the Safari snorkel types plus cutting the inner wing near the air box for the latter.

This. Thumbs Up

L/100 is largely irrelevant. A friend recently commented, tongue in cheek, that the vehicle consumes more fuel than an average British home uses for heating Wink I look at it as a cost of doing business, nothing else. Thumbs Up

Had a great day at the Keilder 4x4 safari on Saturday and good to meet Bobbygg and Hairy Dan, those V8’s sounded sweet and your disco came away a lot dirtier than mine, am not surprised looking at the photo of you going through that water!
Will be booking up again in 2018
