I've just ordered mine a week ago and went for Side Steps, Body Mouldings, Mud Flaps and a tracker device. Not had thoughts of needing anything else....... yet
I had my previous motor with tinted windows all around but decided to wait and see this time as you can always get it done later I don't dance but I do Disco

I would suggest you definitely consider xenon headlights as they are superb. Also factory PTI kit is cost effective and works well.
Oh and mats and flaps unless you like cleaning in an OCD type way.

I fully agree with MVS and I added the rear diff block as I intend to do some off-roading...
Mats can, and probably should, be negotiated with the dealership...

The only option I could never do without again are Xenon lights, after 6 weeks driving my Disco alot of which is at night I could never go back to normal halogen, Xenon is so much safer. I also went for adaptives but this was more for the novelty value of having "wobble lights", having said that I have to say that the corner lights do come in useful when parking at night!
I have a feeling that it is cheaper to fit these later rather than from factory, the xenon units simply plug in, all ballasts etc are within the unit. 2006 TDV6 SE

If you are going to off-road a lot then go for the rear diff-lock, nearly everything else can be added afterwards if you feel you need them including Xenons, steps, privacy glass etc. 2020 BMW X1 18d XDrive X-Line Auto

I would have gone fro the full size alloy wheel. But as this was the only opotion I didn't bother (this would have made the vehicle a special build and delayed delivery by 6 weeks, would you believe it???)

Side steps are brilliant, if you intend to use around town.
If I'm parking at the supermarket, or indeed any tight parking space, I lift to offroad height and if possible park between two near-new regular size cars. Their doors will tend to hit the edge of the side step before they hit my paintwork. Mind at rest whilst shopping!

Thanks for the help, a rear diff lock seems worth it as i am going off road,i am into hang gliding and i need to get the kit to the top of the hill, the kit weighs over 100lbs,and i aint getting any younger. The older i get the better i was.

100lbs? that's nowt I carry that much food in the back of the D3 for the kids didn't struggle at all over the weekend, although the tyres probably helped... along with the extra weight pushing 'em down

If you're thinking of black get the privacy glass the car looks great with it.
I specced the Rear Locking Diff and having used the car a lot off road I don't think it's worth having. In deep mud & rut situations the car has beached and lost traction to all four wheels and all the locking diffs in the world wouldn't have helped. On other terrain the traction control is more than adequate to cope with cross axle situations and steep climbs. The tyres will always limit off road traction long before axle diff locks are required.
