Hi

As you’ve blanked the egrs u shouldnt worry about them

Assume when they were done the butterfly valve was also removed , along with cleaning the MAP sensor to ensure it was clean

Did u leave ur egr pipes in place and use blanking plates because of the new mot rules

It looks as though ur turbo actuator is sticking and needs freeing off, also check the intercooler hoses haven’t got any splits in them, but with splits ur normally get black smoke

Here’s a video ref the actuator

As urs is a 2005 it should have a software program that motors the turbo actuator back and forth , u should be able to hear it when the engine is turned on and off

If not u can with an iid get the software added through the fast lane service which costs £25

Have u cleared the faults as well to see what comes back up again

Link for the actuator coat hanger tool

Hope that helps

First check to see if the egr's are in fact blanked if you have not done them yourself not hard to do as they are just under engine cover search on here for pictures then go from there as your first port of call Thumbs Up

Sometimes poor quality or partially clogged filters can cause your exact symptoms. Or, you might have a split or leaking hose.

Its not a big deal to change the filter and neither is the cost. Just make sure the pipes are connected the correct way. I have had a few D3's with your issue, and after a lot of pfaffing around a new LR fuel filter sorted it. A Mahle filter is good quality also, if it doesn't improve the problem you will be back to the drawing board, but not too much out of pocket.

Clean your MAP sensor too as this can get clogged although yours should be OK given the EGR blank.
Check your induction hoses for cracks/leaks and also visually inspect the action of the turbo actuator rod. You can do this by having someone turn off the ign whilst you are watching the rod. You should witness it cycle through its full range of travel.

If no fault is found I would suggest you have the codes read using a GAP IID BT

I’ve just had exactly the same issue so I checked the large intercooler hose on drivers side that drops down to the bottom connecting to the intercooler. Couldn’t see any leaks but noticed it was the original hose so brought a Brit part one for £40 and so far (touchwood) been ok and feels a bit more pokey
Metal auto sump & fluid change (3 hrs)
LR door puddle projectors (10 mins)
Tinted Bonnet wind deflector (10 mins)
All Intercooler pipes and Tbolts (2hrs)
3 injectors replaced so far (30mins)
Sunroof drain pipes both sides 2.5 hrs)
Rear discs, shoes, pads, callipers, flexi hoses, rigid brake line, n/s upper hub carrier bush and rear n/s upper arm (13hrs over 2 days)
