iid tool ecu error read problem

hi all
I've been using my idd tools for a few months without problems but now I am having trouble trying to read ecu errors....it won't the app or device get stuck on "scanning modules". the only way to recover is to force close the app then I get the following "Your tool is currently in a state that cannot be recovered from, disconnect from OBD port and try again"
this works but if I try to read faults it gets stuck at "scanning modules" again.

does anyone have any ideas ?

thanks
Gavin

i had similar issues and found that pushing tool into the OBD port too far causes connectivity issues

The pins get spread out on the OBD socket over time, check to make sure its not that.
