I assume that's just for the "keyless" LR4's and not the LR3 ?
Already supported for the D3/LR3, been for a while now. Keep in mind that only a brand new key bought from LR will do.

Definately going to block my car in tonight with even more of you now being able to have it away.....
Truly terrifying in the nicest possible way!
No worries, you need a valid key in range in order to start the process... in other words, it cannot be used for stealing purposes http://www.gap-diagnostic.com/

Sorry, dummies question here.... And for some's peace of mind.
What's the definition of "in range" in LR's view of keyless system?

Good point Alex, I should have been a bit more precise. The working key needs to be inside the vehicle... else the ignition cannot be turned on and the process cannot begin.http://www.gap-diagnostic.com/

The range for the keyless ignition is quite small - inside the vehicle and reasonably close to the steering column. The back seat is too far and outside is a complete non-starter.Land Rover - Turning Drivers into Mechanics Since 1948

I'm nearly as bad as Del at all this techie stuff but even I have just managed to program my spare D4 key after owning for nearly a year in its packet
Oh my god, Gap were lightning quick in responding to my numptyness in which I couldn't get the ADD KEY up on the menu so a message to Gap to ask what might be wrong and within 1 minute they had the answer for me
I had updated my tool to the release and not the Beta What ever that means so off I went to update to the Beta.
Out to the car, through the menu, 1 minute later my key is now working
A massive thumbs up for the excellent service and for allowing me to now have a spare key

Hi guys,
Out of curiosity... Can Landrover program a previously used key onto a 2012 discovery 4 - or is this only available through IID?
I've had a nightmare experience with a franchised dealer who has sold us a car with only one key. I've bought a used key on eBay but they are telling me it will cost £50 to have the original (lost by previous owner) key removed and that it is not possible to program my purchased to onto my vehicle. Instead I purchase a new one.
