I'm Ranting
Took AWDman Jnr and SWMBO to the kiddy park on Saturday.
We arived to find the place pretty packed but located a space where the passanger side also had a free space (to aid in extracting the boy from his car seat etc).
Anyway, within seconds of stopping and lowering suspention a chineese lady in a BMW nabs space to the left..oh well was a great idea but it's a free world I think. I jump out to hold rear door, stopping it from touching BMW as SWMBO unstraps and extracts jnr.
In we go and have a great time for 2 hours, a couple of times I spot Chinese lady looking at me across the play area, I'm a bit puzzled and start to fee a bit self conscious about being male in this environment..but then think, well she saw me arive with my boy and wife... what's here prob...
Anyway, 2 hours have passed, we're ready to go home, it's now dark outside so again, I hold rear door as SWMBO loads Jnr back into his seat, the wind's still blowing 7 bells BTW.
Drive home, all done... a great afternoon spent and only £15 or so I thought..
Sunday morning I run over the car with a brush and hose pipe to spot a huge dink in the rear passanger door where said BMW lady has obviously used my car as a door stop as she unloaded her treasure... thanks a bunch..

Unfortunately a common occurrence these days. A lack of care towards others property and possessions.
BTW, just wondering why her being Chinese is a factor and not described simply as 'a woman'

Fair play on the rant I feel your pain brother
Thing is, she obviously knew she'd done some damage and didnt fess up
Now, I keep the car in off road height in tight spaces and glad I've fitted these babies!
I don't think there's any racial or sexist intent in the post just accuracy and honesty.
My thoughts too.
I suppose he could have said 'a person in a car' so as not to offend anyone with fragile sensibilities
But then Simon would probably have asked what sort of person and what sort of car............ The older I get, the more I realise that people confuse wrinkles for wisdom

A good rant !
Clear salient points all included.
Simon are you Chinese? As Chinaman, I would never had noticed that point sufficiently to make the observation you did. Perhaps a little too PC, maybe !??Wot's that in Old Money

No. Just can't see the relevance, be like say she was black or muslim, or jewish or welsh... make no odds to the fact she is a woman with no respect for others property.

There are sooo many one liners and cheap gags to be had from this story but I'll stay quiet for fear of being branded a racist, even though we have many jokes in off topic regarding language, dialect etc etc etc.
Sorry to hear about the damage though.Badda bing.......How you doin'?

Just wondered. I'm not Chinese myself either, just making the point that if I was, I wouldn't have noticed
However, you make a valid point, albeit confusing race & religion and yourself highlighting the person's gender again, which IMCO is also irrelevant.
I think it would have been better if he had omitted "Woman; Chinese & BMW" and just said driver of motorised vehicle, to save any intrusion into personal liberties.
It is also IMCO only 'alledgedly' that particular person that committed the damage.
I would still have been extreemly if any Chinese lady had done that to my car, BMW or not !Wot's that in Old Money

find one the dent devils/dent master type fella's that take dents out for the dealers on the cars on their forecourts. I got one to take quite a few dinks out of my daughters pug - paid cash, he did a great job, you cant see where any of the dents were.

Racism never entered my head sorry if it's casued any upset... she was a woman and the fact she was Chinese just stuck in my head (re-living the story..obviously to much info!)
Like I mentioned the fact the car was a BMW and not just "a car" 57 RRS TDV8

Oh she caused it Hayloft, no question.
I know because my Disco had been on my drive or outside my office since the last car wash, and in both locations no one can park near it, let alone next to it.
The same BMW was also still parked next to mine when we left, so again, not like someone else did the damage and left before I returned.57 RRS TDV8
