Up at 06:00 (05:00 UK time) tomorrow for a battlefield tour. Start at Metz (Franco-Prussian war and Patton's 3rd US Army in WW2), then up to Gravelotte (Franco-Prussian again), then Verdun and the Argonne (WW1), then over to Montmedy (Franco-Pussian again, but en route we'll pass through Varennes-en-Argonne, where Louis XIV was arrested at the height of the French revolution whilst they took a break during their escape so that Marie Antoinette could stuff her face with buns), then home through the Ardennes (WW2 Maginot Line fort at Fermoy and perhaps Bastogne).
In my glass? Started with a Chateauneuf du Pape, then a Saint Emilion, and now a Rioja. All in moderation, of course.

No, the last one was a large run in. So it'll be frosty quiet for a while.

Sat offshore weather great air conditioning not working. and drinking gallons of WATER so as not to dehydrate. and there you all are knocking back the good stuff (and not so good stuff)
Must remember not to look at this thread when I'm offshore idiot.
But then of course you get the R&R so plenty of time for beach fishing, and making up for lost days offshore

Sorry it's in Dutch and with google translator it gets funny.
Sorry DSL,
I don't have the temptation of being next to a fridge with beer in, when the weather is sweltering hot and the possibility of that lovely feeling of necking a cold beer. Must be tough.
