Thanks , well aware of Nick's services.
I think it is integrated with another loom and I'm looking for confirmation of this.If it's a simple A to B ecu>connector>loom>connector>dash then yes , I'll use Nick.
Anyone got any info on this ?

Discowex, whats the spec of your D3?
Alternatively you just need to look for the connectors behind the rear right boot trim panel,
open the pass rear door, fold the seat out the way, unscrew the lower seat belt mount, then the big screw in the hole and pull the trim away a bit, Then stick your hand in and follow the loom as it goes up the wheel arch feeling along it for the PDC wires.
In this picture you can see in the foreground on the left going up the arch the original loom without the PDC wiring on, then slightly to its right you see the loom i am about to replace it with with the PDC wiring in. two mustard and one black.

As they will be unused you will have great chunk of foam on them as you can see in this shot

You will however need to get someone to activate the PDC in the CCF.
God news is that the sounder fits under that same trim
Note that the PDC ECU sits on a bracket .

Hi Colin ,
Mines a base 7 seater Euro spec.
I had a rummage about a few weeks ago but didn't remove the trim but instead removed the infill tab for the rear ent/headphone buttons , shone a torch in and a mirror . I was looking to see if the PDC ECU was present or not.No ECU but could see a large loom disappearing down the arch to the channed under the rear passenger door.
So as yours is a base spec aswell I take it that the loom isnt incorporated as standard ?
Would I be better able to tell by looking at the connector at the back of the dash buttons for specific colouring ?

That does not sound good, I don't think you will have the wiring present which will be big problem. there is sensor wiring to the rear bumper area, and wiring to the switch, power, ground, speaker and of course the CAN BUS which has to be twisted and done well so as to not cause problems on the Bus. Mine was a base 7 with EAS / Terrain and as you can see mine did not have the wiring.
The CCF has options which require enabling to have ECU's like the BCU send messages to the PDC to turn it on when reverse is engaged etc. if you saw the page there is an option for rear PDC only though.
If you wanna check by the switch yourself though, it is a Brown with Blue stripe to pin 4 to actuate and a Red with Grey stripe to pin 5 to do the Led.

No Problemo,
Actually though i just thought, don't check the switch panel connector.
The facia loom may well have that part of the wiring in but not the main loom.
You need to pull off the passenger side kick panel, behind which are 3 connectors in a row, a small 4 pin one closest a big chunky Grey one in the middle and at the back of the 3 there is a light green one. the Red Grey is pin 3 and Brown purple pin 4. The upper side is facia going to the switch and the lower to the PDC.
Let me know what you find.
regards
