Stuck on Chrome Wing Mirrors
I need to get these off..
I could die of shame if I have to drive with them on any longer.
Please, can someone help me with the "how to" of their removal?
I will give you one of my children and/or a big hug if you can help!

I think that they stick on over the existing covers. Easy enough to check, look them up on the Internet and find the fitting instructions.
If they are stuck on, I suppose you could try heating them up. Worst case scenario is that you'll have to replace the original mirror covers.
I agree though, they must go. 2006 D3 HSE (Original & still the best)-GONE

possible quick fix whilst you sort out a permanent one … Halfords peel-off paint. you could cover the chrome in a colour of your choice (and keep changing that choice if you wish).

I'm sure LT is correct. Heat from a hair dryer, or hot air gun should soften the adhesive.
If that fails, just smash the mirrors off Richard

Use a hair dryer or heat gun to soften the adhesive pads, then should be relatively easy to remove.
I'm assuming this is a D3, a D4 has removable mirror caps anyway so won't be stuck on.

Sticky Stuff Remover from Lakeland safely removes remaining adhesive easily. It’s not that I shop in Lakeland of course.
Other removers are available, probably.2014 MY Discovery XS Indus Silver. Sadly gone. Second last LR of forty eight years continuous ownership.
