Installation question for Harmon Kardon iDrive

I have checked out the posts on the Harmon Kardon installation and where to locate them etc. Received my iDrive in the mail today.

Just a quick stupid question I take it I replace the line out cable that would narmally go into the back of the head unit with the 3.5mm jack cable and plug that in to the aux socket in the D3.

Thanks in advance.
Mary.

If I understand your question correctly - just use a 3.5mm jack-to-jack lead, plug one end into the 'Audio Out' socket on the iDrive unit and the other into the socket on the back of the centre console. That will feed the iPod audio from the iDrive into the D3 system.
