Same here - had all the symptoms you describe on our old D3. I bought a cheapish 2nd hand replacement off ebay and Flack helped swap it over and program it with his IID.

Just beware that you can only move the mileage forward on the IPACK, you can't go backward - so you need to find a replacement cluster with a LOWER mileage than your original one to then wind it forward with your cars real mileage. If you get one with a higher mileage, you will be stuck with that.
 Cheers,

Gareth

After a bit of messing due to work time! I have the cluster out and have sent it off to be sorted!
Still £800 cheaper than the Landrover dealership.

Few days till I get the unit back not counting the weekend.

Hopefully this will resolve the issue and I can get the vehicle back out on the road.

Hi Green Medic,
How did you get on? Mine started doing this yesterday, as far as I could tell only thing it affected was the dash lights and dials.
Started hour or two into a 3 hr drive home then again today, about 10 mins into drive to work and again about 10mins into drive home. Each lasted about a minute then bingo, all back to 'normal'.
No obvious power loss, no central locking issues or hazard lights etc, just the dials going dark and dropping to zero.
So, it looks like I've got to bite the bullet and go for it before it gets much worse but very much a first for me. Not well versed on electronics.
First thing is Hardwares suggestions I think but with no other obvious issues not sure if the battery/charging is the fault. Only one way to find out....just not easy up here in the Highlands!
Guessing you paid about 200 for the replacement cluster. Compares with the Autotronics option mentioned.
Do you need to use a 11D reader as I don't have one?
Any tips or advice welcome.
Cheers Rob
