Insurance excludes mis fuel |
|
Got my new insurance and although it covers off road use, it specifically says it doesn't ocver mis fuelling. I know there was a bit of kit on the market which was not easy to use.
Has anybody tried this one, it looks simple and has pressure relief valves in it.

How often have you mis-fuelled? Is it something to worry about.
I looked at these a while back, but decided that seeing as I've never actually done the deed (close a few times) I'd not bother. The law of sod will now apply now I've said I've never done it
Is that the one from Dragons den? I seem to recall someone on here trying a group buy at one time.

A friend of my mum, who is something high in insurance told me last summer that insurance companies would start specifically excluding misfuels. He himself had misfuelled his company cars 3 times in just over 12 months.
The insurance companies believe that the manufacturers are playing the guarantee card to get expensive repairs done after misfuelling incidents. Too much intellectual firepower can damage your common sense.

Adrian Flux who are brokers for Highway.
The reason I think it might be worth getting one is that I am not the only person to drive it.
