did you press the keyfob once or twice?
I think it also doesnt set if the is movement/activity prior to the final set (after the settling down period)
try it yourself, get in the car - keep dead still, deadlock it with one press of the key fob, wait until its set, then move about and see what happens.

Tried that with wife inside, nothing happened. Just been and tried it with me in car and alarm sounded after short delay. Key was obvously inside with me. Dont know if that is relevant. Very strange. Why did it not work when dog was in for 40 mins.

Hi,
Not all D3 have sensor to detect movement inside the car...
Mine is an HSE and don't have it. The alarm only detect door opening.

Mine is HSE also. I was under impression all this model has interior protection. If this is the case then what is the need to double click key fob to enable part protection.

Can you locate the ultrasonic sensors in the middle of the roof ?

RTFM if you press the key fob twice it turns off the internal sensors

Yes I am aware that pressing fob twice should disable internal protection. My problem is that pressing it once doesnt enable internal space protection.

Ok to be more constructive I went and sat in mine to test it as I have never heard the alarm. Once set if i fidgeted about straight away the alarm didn’t go off, well in ten mins of messing about, then I set the alarm again after starting and stopping the engine as I know this had to be done on other cars/ vans after the alarm has been triggered for it to reset stopped the engine set the alarm and sat stock still for aprox 1 min then moved and the alarm went off well it made a sad squeaky noise ish which would probably be an alarm if you slept on the bonnet . Hope you get it sorted

Thanks for that. I tried it as before and nothing happened. Started the car, stopped engine and opened and closed door whilst still in it. Moved about and I got pathetic noise. It therefore looks as though alarm can only be fully set if done immediately after turning ignition off and opening and closing door. Going back to my original enquiry it still doesnt explain why the dog did not set off alarm.
