Intermittent air bag warning light
I have had the airbag warning light coming on and off intermittently for the last few weeks. Sometimes at startup and sometimes while moving.
I had the codes read today and they are the following:
B00D5-11 -restraint system passenger disable indicator (circuit short to ground)
B0070-1B -drivers safety belt pretension er deployment control (circuit resistance above threshold)
Is the only thing that can cause the second fault an issue with the pre-tensioner? Would damaged wiring I've the same fault? I only ask as I would like to make sure before I replace the pre-tensioner that I have dulled everything else out.
Also what could be the cause of the first fault? ie where should I begin to look?
Finally will the airbag still deploy if this fault is logged and the light is on?

If you are adjusting your seat often then that is where the problem may lie. The cables under the seat are too short and can become stressed. Try manipulating the cables with the engine off, then start up and see if there is any change. You might be lucky.
